2011- Second Year , THREE DAYS OF EVENTS !!

Well here we go again ! Last year was such an amazing success , it lead to me 

LAST YEAR WAS TIRING!

managing Believe in FATE and helped me develop promotion skills which lead to me starting Gemjar Music Promotions .

Since last year I have continued to promote all the bands involved, organised events in and around York and successfully managed  Believe in FATE  - we've all had a great year.



This year it's bigger and better - now a three day event it's like a mini festival - and so proud and cannot wait for next weekend!

I just want to use this blog as a THANK YOU to everyone involved - to all the bands :

SHADE THE PRESS

SHADE THE PRESS A relatively new band, full of dedicated musicians, theses guys have been exceptional at promoting the events, I really couldn't ask for more ! They are first on , DAY ONE - they will definitely wow the crowd, vocally brilliant, musically - extraordinary - truly unique and original . I hope that their success and skills grow and wish them a long and happy career !

CRAVE

CRAVE Returning band from last year , very happy to have the boys back again. Crave are gigging now more than ever- this pleases me ! Everyone should hear Crave! These boys will bring the people to the front for the full set - always a pleasure !

PROWL

PROWL Relocated from the dark North Yorkshire- Ryedale countryside, these guys have have firmly earned their place in the York music scene, hard working, social creatures Prowl are superb live and I would encourage you all to watch them grow ! Prowl are evolving constantly and its awesome !!

we could be astronauts

WE COULD BE ASTRONAUTS  Like many musician's when you hit 25 , more than likely that you've been in more than one band. When you take the best bits from all the bands you've been in - well thats when you get a band like We could be Astronauts -the love child of several successful bands- bringing outstanding musician's , sexy vocals, guitar solo heaven and pure entertainment - cannot wait !

TOMORROW WE RADIO

TOMORROW WE RADIO These guys clearly know how to please the crowd, with high energy performances they are without a doubt one of York's most successful bands. TWR have a long future ahead of them, gigging around the North, these boys work hard at mastering their craft. They have recently been featured on BBC Introducing and are very busying for the rest if the year with their new music video coming out soon ! As main support  TWR will be bringing the night to a sweaty peak !


BELIEVE IN FATE Another returning band - as much a part of Donate for great 2010's success as myself. Last year was the starting blocks in which Believe in Fate flew out into the world, entering the National competition live and unsigned they came home victorious as ROCK FINALISTS . After performing at The O2's Millennium Dome London , this smiley rock band have come back more focused than ever. Loving playing to a home crowd . Believe in Fate will close the night with a full set of fan favourites, diverse and entertaining - it's truly hard not to enjoy this band. Look out for their first album due to be released year next year!

Believe in Fate will also be working behind the scenes- Danny P       will be back stage, ensuring a smooth change over of bands and their equipment. Also Joel and John will be MC's for the evening , introducing their fellow bands and I'm sure Ash will be shaking a bucket or two :) I am massively grateful to them.

Day Two - Is at Montey's Rock Cafe, I'd Like to thank Jon Wilkinson for use of his bar !  This is an amazing addition to DFG this year, having a BBQ , quiz and open mic. Makes a more relaxed atmosphere for fundraising ! Im sure this will be a massive hit !!

Thank you to Matt Scott for putting himself and Joel Hewitt forward for some serious chest Waxing ! I am very grateful - it's guna hurt boys !

Day Three- CAN'T SING, CAN'T DANCE. DON'T CARE Live at Kennedy's - These guys MC'd last year so I'm very happy to have Adam, Seb, Sam and whole crew be apart of DFG for a second year. Thank you for taking on a whole evening ! I know that this will be a great success !!
